Bandhej Bandhani Dupatta

Bandhej Bandhani Dupatta in Gajjii Silk, beautiful vibrant colors of Kutch! For this festive season of Navratri & Diwali.

Bandhej, the word literally means tieing! Bandhej comes from two different states of India, rich in culture and traditions! Gujarat and Rajasthan. The technique of tie and dye is the same, but the workmanship varies a lot. Beautiful tiny knots tied & dyed to the desired colors brings out beautiful patterns in floral and geometric designs!

Though bandhej in Jamnagar is similar to the work done in Rajasthan, the Khatri community in Kutch does exquisite and intricate work of tie and dye. A very tedious and time-consuming affair.
The tieing of the knots is a very cumbersome process, which requires very skilled hands and swift and nimble fingers!

At Sutrakaar we travel across all the weaving hubs and Artisans village to get you the best of quality and color combos!

These beautiful dupattas have been sourced from Kutch and Jamnagar. Vibrant and festive colors for the forthcoming season!
